I have to be in Birmingham Wednesday for work but will be free that afternoon. Thinking about going. Gotta drive back to BR thurs morning so I'll miss les and Saban.

Should I still go?

I see no reason to go to SEC media days.

Pretty sure you can just go in the lobby with all the rednecks, hard to get past media row.

Yes, I've gone with a media member before. The year Kiffin was at Tennessee.

I would not recommend it.

I went several years ago to get Spurrier's autograph- which unless you're really lucky you aren't going to get (I was somehow)

ETA: But unless you're looking for a particular person that's hard to get their autograph, don't go. It's just a bunch of standing

If you can get a press pass/credential from someone you know, it's not unbearable. Just boring for much of the time.

If you are stuck in the lobby, I imagine it would be hell.

Went three times as a media member

Brutal is being kind. Why would a fan want to subject themselves to that?

I walked right in last year. Sat with the media. I know the guys from the Roundtable Show in Bham pretty well. I had on a Auburn Polo and some khakis...Stood there and took a picture with Blake and Lutzenkirchen

Yes, I've been a bunch of times. Double digits ... credentialed.

Was also at the last one in the old Sheraton downtown and the first one in Hoover.

My last one was 2009.
