Was the difference between 2012 Texas A&M and 2012 Texas really 70 points?

Many people like to quantitatively and qualitatively compare teams based on their scores against common opponents.
Texas 21 OU 63
Texas A&M 41 OU 13
Okay, those scores have been beaten to death. However, no one wants to mention
Texas 66 @ Ole Miss 31

I smell selective memory/subjective selection. I hadn't noticed anyone talking about the Ole Miss games until a moment ago on ESPN, but Aggies like to beat their chests over the Oklahoma win.

You guys poke fun at and argue against the Aggies all the time, but now it's not okay. Double standard much? I'm not responding to any more insubstantial posts in this thread. This topic hasn't been discussed recently if ever on this site. The Ole Miss games provide excellent fuel for debate against an Aggie.

2008 Ole Miss lost to Vanderbilt 23-17. The very next week 2008 Ole Miss beat 2008 Florida 31-30.
2008 Florida went on to win the NC.
2008 Vanderbilt therefore > 2008 Florida. Makes sense.
