2013 SEC Schedule (sorry if Germans)

Looking over the SEC schedule and some things stood out:
Missouri doesn't have an SEC game until 10/5, and doesn't have a home SEC game until 10/19.
Arkansas doesn't have a bye week until 10/26.
LSU doesn't have a bye until 11/2, but then has 2 byes in a 3 week span.
Bama has a bye in week 2.
UGA, Mizzou and USCe are the only schools with a bye week before a non-conference game.

Bye weeks are overrated. A&M went the entire season last year without a bye.
I feel like I see more teams come out and struggle in games after bye weeks than not. Gets your offense outta rhythm.

Ironically, the week that aTm had originally scheduled for their bye week, they held on to beat Louisiana Tech 59-57, then lost to LSU the following week by 5.
So, you don't think aTm would have been better equipped to handle LSU with an extra week of practice rather than only one week after struggling and squeaking by a WAC team?

We struggled with La. Tech because of suspensions on defense and they played a hell of a game.
LSU won straight up and we made a lot of mistakes as well turning the ball over. Im not sure a bye would have made a difference.

Of course, bye weeks are certainly nice if you are dealing with injuries to key players.
I just think people make too much of a big deal about bye weeks. I feel like half the time they hurt teams by getting them out of their rhythm.
