An interesting view, considering he's a guy that grew up in Illinois, played at Iowa, and rose through the coaching ranks at Kansas State and Wisconsin. Should he not be welcomed back to those states? What about kids he recruits from Texas, Florida, etc.?

he needs to realize they are only looking for a destination program and cut them some slack.

I love watching that program spiral into obscurity.

What. a. train. wreck.

I was initially very impressed with this hire, but I'm already some serious doubts. It's like he puts absolutely no thought into what he says and just speaks his mind. I know that's ironic coming from a Les Miles fan, but what he says is more comical than offensive

he's a sectard.

I'm awaiting the PC when he wears a sailor cap and refers to Ark as the flagship.

Pretty sure this is the exact same thing you hear from every fanbase when a prized instate recruit goes elsewhere. Nothing groundbreaking here.

This particular Bama fan is obsessed with Arkansas. The post wasn't about Tennessee. I can understand your confusion.

He is trying to convince instate kids to stay and this is the line he came up with?

Well of course the fans can say that without any repercussions, but the HEAD COACH of the state's major university? That's outrageous, two totally different situations

I don't know about this, but I would be a proponent of a Ga state law mandating acceptance of football scholarships from in-state universities if offered.

He just means the player won't be able to ever get a job in the state for the rest of his life. Nothing hardcore.

Do we even know who was being addressed when this statement was made? That makes a big difference. The OP left the source out of his post.

That spiral crashed and burned a while ago, we've been scraping the bottom, on to bigger and better things like bullying the frick out of the Austin Peas and Georgia Sts of the college football world

I wrote a rap

Who cares at all about being welcome home
When you can cash fat REC checks all year long
Tenpenny doesn't give a frick about Bielma
Cause soon he'll be playing on Sundays for Miel-yuns
