SEC three-year records

We’ll start with the Western Division and come back later today with the Eastern Division. Keep in mind that Texas A&M’s overall record only reflects the one season in the SEC, and we’ve only listed the 2012 season under the Aggies’ conference record.

Western Division (future power ranking listed in parentheses) LINK

Overall record
1. Alabama (1): 35-5 (13-1, 12-1, 10-3)
2. LSU (2): 34-6 (10-3, 13-1, 11-2)
3. Texas A&M (4): 27-12 (11-2, 7-6, 9-4)
4. Arkansas (11): 25-13 (4-8, 11-2, 10-3)
5. Auburn (8): 25-14 (3-9, 8-5, 14-0)
6. Mississippi State (12): 24-15 (8-5, 7-6, 9-4)
7. Ole Miss (7): 13-24 (7-6, 2-10, 4-8)

Conference record
1. LSU: 20-4 (6-2, 8-0, 6-2)
2. Alabama: 19-5 (7-1, 7-1, 5-3)
3. Arkansas: 14-10 (2-6, 6-2, 6-2)
4. Auburn: 12-12 (0-8, 4-4, 8-0)
5. Mississippi State: 10-14 (4-4, 2-6, 4-4)
6. Ole Miss: 4-20 (3-5, 0-8, 1-7)
* Texas A&M: 6-2

Eastern Division LINK

Overall record
1. South Carolina (6): 31-9 (11-2, 11-2, 9-5)
2. Georgia (5): 28-13 (12-2, 10-4, 6-7)
3. Florida (3): 26-13 (11-2, 7-6, 8-5)
4. Missouri (14): 23-15 (5-7, 8-5, 10-3)
5. Vanderbilt (9): 17-21 (9-4, 6-7, 2-10)
6. Tennessee (10): 16-21 (5-7, 5-7, 6-7)
7. Kentucky (13): 13-24 (2-10, 5-7, 6-7)

Conference record
1. Georgia: 17-7 (7-1, 7-1, 3-5)
1. South Carolina: 17-7 (6-2, 6-2, 5-3)
3. Florida: 14-10 (7-1, 3-5, 4-4)
4. Vanderbilt: 8-16 (5-3, 2-6, 1-7)
5. Tennessee: 5-19 (1-7, 1-7, 3-5)
6. Kentucky: 4-20 (0-8, 2-6, 2-6)
* Missouri: 2-6

Obviously, Alabama and LSU are way out in front of everybody else in the SEC over the last three seasons, with 35 and 34 wins, respectively. For perspective, Oregon has 36 wins over the past three seasons.

The Crimson Tide have won 12 or more games in four of their past five seasons, while the Tigers have won 10 or more games in six of Les Miles’ eight seasons as coach.

How many people would have guessed that LSU had a better conference record than Alabama over the past three years?

Ole Miss checked in at No. 7 in our future power rankings even though the Rebels have won just four conference games over the last three years. Granted, three of those came last season under Hugh Freeze.

Anyone else think LSU will fall behind Texas A&M and Auburn in the next 2-3 years?

Big 1.

To put that into perspective it was noted on our rivals site I believe that we only won 32 games from 92-99 or so.

Have you seen LSU's recruiting and coaching moves the past two years and the class they are bringing in this year? Or, are you just talking?

Where is the decline taking place? LSU is stacked.

You think Auburn, with the clusterfrick they've got going on, is going to make up a 9 game lead on LSU?

Interesting. Just one game difference from having identical records the past three seasons.

naw... I think it's LSU/Bama for the next 2-4 years, and then A&M might start sprinkling in some West titles once they get their defense up to par.

Auburn is gonna be down for a while IMO.

As for LSU, anyone that follows recuriting knows LSU isn't going anwhere for the forseeable future. Just too talented and Miles has one of the best coaching staffs in the country.

Why would they fall behind them?

Every year people say the same thing about LSU...but until Louisiana stops pumping out Dlinemen and great athletes, they will be in the discussion.

I really wish the retards here would stop jumping on aTm's jock just because of one season. Arkansas was in the same league with them for 70 years. That shite will not last.

We'll discuss this the night of October 19, 2013. I'm pretty positive that you are in denial.
