Plan on seeing both him and Mitchell this coming season, unless they commit elsewhere beforehand in which case I won't give a shite about them.

Both in-state prospects at the LBJ Camp look like they are impressing some people.

Watching the summer league (Orl vs Bos) and Tony Mitchell is playing on Boston's SL team, no idea he was the NBA D-League ROY this past year

Crazy right. Alonzo Gee went to the D League and blossomed too.

@ebosshoops : Love the hubris from Justin Coleman to take/hit 2 on none 19 footer. Not sure it is a great shot up four w/40 seconds to go. But it went in

@EvanDanielsFOX: Justin Coleman has five threes as the first camp game comes to and end. Good speed and is a long range shot maker.

@jeffborzello: Mississippi State picked up a commitment from Demetrius Houston, per a source. That's four players from Carver (Ala.) for the Bulldogs.

@JustinDYoung: Reading a lot about AL PG Justin Coleman from the #KJSA. I've said it since watching him drop 50+ in HS game last season. He's Russ Smith.

Like who? Coleman, Norris, and Lee are all from Alabama. Jackson has had a lot of positive things to say about it. Who the frick do you want us to go after? A bunch of kids whose best offers are Troy and Mercer?

What the frick do you mean. Im saying its frustrating keeping up with guys that I dont believe we will get. Analyst think Colemon goes to Auburn and Riley to FLA. Thats what I mean dont know whats your fricking problem?

So because some recruiting analysts think they go elsewhere we need to stop recruiting them?

If we lose Coleman to the only team in the conference with a more incompetent offense than ours, well, there isn't much we can do about that. It would just be the final nail in Grant's coffin. It's a win win situation, so I don't see why there is any need to be upset over it.

I never said stop recruiting them or anything like that. I said were looking at them(discussing them on this board) and we probably wont get them according to analyst and recent history. I guess I couldve worded it better but thats what I meant. shite just frustrating to see the other day that a head analyst said he had inside info that Coleman would end up at AU and another say that we arent in it for Norris. Until Grant lands one of them I dont know what to believe.

As of today on the crystal ball, Coleman is 100% to Auburn (3 votes), Lee is 100% to Alabama (2 votes), and Norris is 67% to Florida (2 votes) and 33% to Bama (1 vote).

And the guy who vehemently states that Alabama has no shot with Norris is a hack former AAU coach that couldn't cut it who hates all things Anthony Grant. I'm not saying we land Norris, but we have a good shot.

ETA: Tadric Jackson is 100% to Bama (1 vote)

Well there aren't really any other guys we can go after at this juncture. If Coleman would rather go play in Barbee's "offense", I can't say I have a lot of respect for his intelligence. Barbee will likely be fired in the next year or two anyway after Auburn misses the postseason entirely again. I wouldn't blame Coleman one bit if he wants to avoid our offense like the plague though. Same with Norris and Lee.

If Grant can't land two of those 3 he's done though. That would just be completely irreparable damage to the program. All of the transfers in the world won't be able to mask 2 empty recruiting classes in 3 years.

Im not saying go after anyone else. Im saying its hard to watch this shite. We should have at least one of the 3 locked up already. Now they are all on the verge of being national prospects if they arent already. Anyway its funny how as soon as the fab five interview came out 2 have already chosen seperate schools lol.

From Dave Telep of ESPN on Coleman:

quote:

There’s a ton of sub-6-foot point guards floating around. But if there’s a better shooting one than ESPN 100 prospect Justin Coleman (Birmingham, Ala./Wenonah), I’ve yet to see him. Shooting is the strength of his game, and you feel good when he lets it fly. However, he’ll need to be careful with his college selection so as to not bite off more than he can handle. He’s more scorer than set-up man, and at his size that tends to even itself out in college.

The last part kind of makes me question how much he's seen of him.

I've twitter searched Anthony Grant but seen no mention of him being at the tournaments. I guess scouts just haven't seen him.

He's apparently in Augusta checking out the in-state trio.

Finally found one @BigShotsSkills: BIG SHOTS Myrtle Beach 1 SLAM Match Up of the night Karolina Diamonds vs Dallas Seawolves. Anthony Grant and John Thompson 3 court side.

Dan also said he was at the Southern Stampede game.
