Cards with the win.

Kelly outdoes Kershaw and the BP locks it down.

Yea me too reedus. I know part of SJ39 leaving was to free up cap space but it would be very frustrating if the running game is what held the Rams back this year.

This is the first year in about 10 that I've actually been excited for the start of the season.

Wished he did in St. Louis what he's done in Colorado. Wanted him to buy the Blues when they were for sale. We talked about the soccer.

There is still time. He could set up a nice little sports empire here. Don't count him out when The Dewitts and company move to sell the Cards down the road.

I can't wait to see the defense play. Liked a lot of their picks on that side of the ball as well.

No question. The defense has the talent to be a top 5 unit next year. That takes a lot of pressure off of Sam.

Cant wait for the season to get rolling.

Wouldn't be the smartest thing, especially in todays world.

It's like putting all of your investments in one industry. Your portfolio should have diversity. Not smart to put all your eggs in one basket.

Earthquake, terrorist attack, local economy plummets; he loses big time.

I have hated that dome since day one. Football is bad there bu I remember actually going to Mizzou v. SLU there and it was miserable.

I wouldnt say its 100% certain but Bernie Miklasz, who seems fairly tied into the goings on, is fairly certain there will be a stadium built along the riverfront north and east of the ED.

Honestly, how reliable is the news that a new football stadium will be built in STL? I figured it was almost certain that the Rams ownership would either move the team back to LA or to London. The ownership pretty much told STL to support the team or watch it be moved within 5 years.

STL doesn't support football nearly as well as more popular football cities like KC. STL is a baseball town thru-and-thru.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love for STL to retain a football team with a new stadium. Just curious how reliable the news is?

I think its a misconception that St Louis "doesnt support" the Rams ro NFL football.

Consider this, the Rams just left a 10 year stretch that was the worst ever for ANY franchise yet folks bought tickets and still showed up. No TV blackouts etc.

Another note, why is everyone convinced that Stan Kroenke, a Missouri native with considerable ties to St Louis, automatically fall into the "he will move the team" category? He has been silent because he is negotiating deals with the state, city and county. One thing that did stand out was his only real comment after purchasing majority ownership when questioned about the team leaving St Louis, He said, Im paraphrasing, He went through a lot to step up and help bring the Rams TO St Louis. The context was that he was agitated at questions implying he wanted to move the team.

Bernie's sources are pretty reliable it seems. One was Goodell. Others are tied into the process on both the Rams and the local government's side as well as source in close to the governor.

I was worried for a while about the team moving but am fairly confident they are here for the long term now.
