According to the commercials, we could have all saved a ton of money and been better off career wise if we had gone to the University of Maryland College University or Phoenix. And not had to worry about getting dressed for class all that while. So my question is why does anyone bother going to a real school that actually exist? Any insight?

University of Phoenix is a joke. I have a cousin (sadly) that did the whole University of Phoenix thing at the same time I was at a major university and she paid money out the arse, FAR more then I paid. Then no one would take her degree as a legit degree.

Don't bring that up. Last time I discussed that topic I was banned for four months.

I've never known anyone that did it, but from researching, it looks like the cost is asinine. And for a school that doesn't even physically exist.

Seriously, are there any employers that actually care about this?

Just don't go over to the rant talking about Shaq's degree. They'll ban you with a quickness.

I was previously a recruiter for a company, and did not hold those degrees in high regard. Usually the quality of the candidate caused this though.

I can see that. Anyone willing to spend that kind of money for a degree that isn't real is more than likely a moron.

just his Masters. it makes me question his doctorate degree, because what kind of school would accept his UoP degree?

Barry University- doesn't sound like a top 100 school (I've never heard of it for one)
