#0 will be taking his below the rim talents to San Jose State, per his Twitter.

From Aggie Athletics:
quote:

During his first season in Aggieland, played in 32 games as a reserve … contributed 2.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest while averaging 13.1 minutes … shot .356 from the floor and .711 from the free throw line … also collected 12 blocks, eight assists and six steals on the year … scored a season-high nine points against Stephen F. Austin (12/5), before collecting a personal-best 10 rebounds during his next outing, which came against Oklahoma (12/15) at Chesapeake Energy Arena during the All-College Classic … played a season-high 23 minutes during the four-overtime contest against Tennessee (2/23) … chipped in seven points and four rebounds vs. Missouri during the SEC Tournament.

He will be leaving in good academic standing, so our APR is unaffected by his transfer. If A&M was depending on his presence for next year, we were in for a world of hurt anyways. He never seemed to make the leap from the JUCO ranks to Division 1 basketball.

With that being said, I wish him the best.

Well...maybe a little. I enjoy his anti-Kennedy diatribes.

At least he's leaving now and not during the academic year when it would hurt us a whole lot more.

Could he have hurt our APR any more than Turg and Shakes have done already?

This is awesome on two fronts. He's a fricking terrible basketball player, and another one of Kennedy's players is leaving the team making him look bad in the process. Win win?

At least next season when I watch a bad team it won't feel like Kennedy is trolling me by putting Andrew Young in the game.

I keep reading this title as Forever Andrew Young

Anyway, he did fricking suck. And I suffered through the Tony Barone days when I was in school so I know suck. I'm not a talent scout by any means but my personal scouting report on him would be fairly succinct: "Positives: he's tall. Negatives: can't play basketball." I know we've been desperate for warm bodies but it doesn't speak well of this staff that he's the best they could find.

Btw, can we make this the official Fire Billy Kennedy thread? I'd like to keep the fire contained to just one dumpster on our little forum this year.

If he loses to another bottom feeder at home in nonconference, the fire will spread across the entire forum.

I tried to sugarcoat it, but Young was a disaster from the beginning and he never showed any signs of improvement. Young was supposed to be a huge recruiting coup for BK. He had offers from NC State, Oregon, and California. This is why you can't rely on offer lists.

Young was the epitome of having a warm body on the roster. He got playing time only as a result of a lack of options in the frontcourt.

That's the best gif I've seen all day, including some pornographic ones.
