- LSU vs. UNC is a brutal elimination game.

- NC State; Got to hand it to them. They seem to be a hot team right now and playing well. Their beat-down of UNC was a surprise.....at least to me.

- How about Indiana? Sort of pulling for them just because. They may be a team of destiny.

- State: Another hot team but I think they may have gone as far as they can go.

- The SEC is not as dominant this year as most of us thought.

- My pick to win it all, UCLA (check my earlier post) got by that all important 1st round.

- Won't surprise me if OSU comes out of the loser's bracket and plays UCLA for the title.

You need more Beaudreax's Butt Paste

We have the favored bullpen in this tournament.

Pitching and D heavy teams will do well with these concrete blocks they use for bats now. Vandy would've been dangerous had they made it.

It's going to be either Indiana or LSU (Yes, I still think they're the favorite to win it all. They will bounce back.)

Boy this is so true. That ballpark they play in over in does not help either. They need to scale that field back a bit.

I'll give you LSU and take the field.

Solid analysis except your UCLA pick....they don't have the offense to do it.

The only way I think LSU can get out of the loser's bracket is if UCLA is the team they have to beat twice to get to the championship series.

I agree. The last thing LSU wants (beside 0-2) is the face Rodon on Thursday/Friday.

I don't know if NCSU has the pitching depth to win this thing, but in a one game scenario with Rodon on the bump, they can beat anyone.

LSU can still win the whole thing but they have a tough elimination game coming tuesday with UNC. UNC is the only team that really scares me in this tourney. IF LSU can get by UNC, I will feel good about our chances again.

Both will have to come out of the loser bracket.

Yeah we just beat Oregon State after winning 2 at UVA. We just might as well tell Indiana we are done

I think MSU has the best chance to win their bracket.

from watching the first four games, it seems like the tournament is WIDE OPEN right now.... you could make a strong case that the four better teams lost their opening round games (with the possible exception of Lousville).

I'm pulling for IU, personally... love a good underdog story.

Yea I thought that was an odd analysis too....I think State makes the needed adjustments to their surroundings and to their competition. As much of a dickhead that Cohen is no one....absolutely no one....can say that he isn't an elite coach in the SEC at this point I think.

I wish I could say the same for LSU and our adjustments.

I think NC State wins it all. They are playing the best right now.

I agree, this thing is wide open.

I would suggest we are an even bigger underdog. Frick the Big10 just because.

Decent hitting and a stud ace. Rice gifted them 2 9th inning comeback to get here, though. Not sold, but they are taking advantage of their opportunities.

After the USCe series, I view UNC as a paper tiger. On paper them and LSU look to be the two best teams, but UNC hasn't really done anything to impress me since the post season started. LSU has been very impressive in the post season up until yesterday (errors killed us).

Knew they could hit, but was very surprised/impressed when they blanked Louisville. Especially since Louisville beat Vandy.

Good hitting. Crap shoot for starting pitching. Good to great bullpen. If they can get a few innings out of a starter with the game still close, then the depth of their pen could see them through a few games. Has potential to go far, but a starter could blow up early and the bats go cold.

Can't hit for shite, but in TD Ameritrade that might not matter. I don't see it happening, but I'm also still butthurt at us giving up to unearned runs and losing 2-1.

I think Louisville takes 'em out today.
