How many of you all play?

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but wanted to start a thread to talk about local and state courses and where and how you've been playing.

Heading to play Prairie Creek in Rogers this morning. Never played it before so this will be a first.

Played the new Mystic Creek down in El Dorado a couple weeks ago. If any of you enjoy golf, a beautiful course, and a challenge head to El Do one weekend. It was awesome. I shot a 90 and was damn proud. Very hard course.

This year Ive also played Payne Stewart, Branson Creek, Stonebridge, Valley View, Pinnacle, The Creeks, Links(Wedington), and some shitty course in Oklahoma.

I played for the first time in six years this weekend. Only news i have to report is i still suck. We played Pine Valley in Jacksonville mainly because its cheap, we were out of practice, and you are not really rushed out there.

Everyone sucks pretty bad at some point.

I usually shoot around an 80-85 on normal courses, but I'll still have those days where I'm pushing 90-92. Although I felt real good about a 90 at Mystic Creek in El Dorado a few weeks back. That course was tough.

I've only had time to get out and play twice this year. I'm usually a 10 handicap when I get a chance to go out regularly. Right now, my slice is wicked. Saying I'm a 20 would be very generous.

I've never played Big Sugar. I've been tempted, but never gone.

How is it compared to Stonebridge?

What didn't you like about Prairie Creek? I've not played it in 10+ years.

I've not picked up a golf club since I moved to Oklahoma in 2009, hate this state.

It's not very well maintained. The layout isn't bad, but there is t much money being pumped into it. Or at least, that's what it looked like to me.

I've played Country Club of Arkansas in Maumelle. Used to be pretty okay. Played Rebsuman(sp) in Little Rock. Never done any at HSV, but Ive been told the courses in Bella Vista are very similar to those in HSV.

Best course in Arkansas I've played was Mystic Creek a few weeks ago. I think it's over 7200 yds from the tips.

some shitty course in Oklahoma.

shadow creek or quail run? Both are just over the border and horribly maintained.

I haven't gotten to golf around fayetteville much, I need to find a group to play with in the area none of my friends up here golf. I've only gotten to play the links in springdale and on weddington and hit balls at fayetteville country club (the public course not sure if that is its actual name)

I haven't played any of the HSV courses, but I've generally heard good things about the golf.

When I played, I liked Belvedere the best of all the public courses in Hot Springs. I've heard Belvedere has gone through some tough times recently. I also liked Diamondhead and Degray State Park (only if the geese population is under control at the latter).

How many of us live here in NWA? Would be nice to set up something where we all play one Saturday.

The Links on Wedington are actually nice. I think anyway. My only gripe is 9's tee box.

Valley View is overpriced. Stonebridge is nice but they have way too many tourneys. Razorback is, well, Razorback. The Creeks is okay, but the layout sucks. Also, they have clover all over the place. I played Pinnacle, but it whips my arse every time. I didn't like Prairie Creek.

Mystic Creek

I've heard that it is really nice. It won't be open for that long though. There aren't enough people in El Dorado to support Mystic Creek and El Dorado CC.

Unless you enjoy losing golf balls and playing a couple of clowny holes, then don't go. I played there for my high school state tournament several years ago, and thought it was too damn tough.

If you are including private courses in this discussion, then I could not disagree with you more. The only course in HSV that is even in the discussion with some of the Little Rock courses is Diamante.

1. Alotian...and its not even close

2. Pleasant Valley. Awesome greens since they switched to champions bermuda

3/4/5. Diamante, CCLR, Chenal
