3 years and 18 million. And he played two of his three seasons at Alabama under Saban.

I was just kidding man.

You know, since Nick likes to claim every kid he's ever just talked to in his "my players in the NFL" advertisements.

Playing football at Alabama is probably a tougher experience than playing in the NFL.

This is arguable. It's just totally different

I don't understand RB's desire to have their knees worn out in a college running offense when they have the choice of playing in a passing offense and saving themselves for the NFL.

The NFL is a passing league anyway! A&M's Christine Michael was drafted right behind Lacy, about zero difference in the money they'll make.

Busts? Mark Barron is playing pretty well. I suppose Julio Jones is a bust.

Ingram hasn't gotten it done but he still has a chance. Richardson did pretty well for himself.

Andre Smith? A bust? Hardly hes a well paid OL nowadays.

Hell even John Parker Wilson is still on an NFL roster, the Pats no less.

Plenty of others out there. Mike Johnson is playing..Jarrett Johnson has had a fine career...Kareem Jackson is doing Ok..on and on and on.

Tell us how YOUR teams players are doing.

Jpw is with the steelers. Gmac is with the jets. Cody's done just fine upshaw and Hightower were impact guys. Trich and Julio are studs. Javy has a good chance at being an impact and Jackson has hung on to his cb spot. Nfl late first early second round doesn't mean superstar.

Lets not forget how many overall #1s have been busts by these standards...

But who has legitimately underpreformed outside of Rolando McClain, Kareem Jackson, and Mark Ingram? That still leaves, what, 12 of 15 first round picks?

I thought about the Saints Board when I heard Ingram had injured one of their FA Defensive players during offseason practice and we know how desperately they need defensive players. At this point they have to be convinced Ingram is their Manchurian Player sent by Saban to torment the State of Louisiana just for the hell of it . . . Oh well sucks for them; Good for Cam

And regarding Andre Smith, he epitomizes the stereotypical Bengals player with his contract and weight issues. Seems like Marvin Lewis has worked hard the past couple of seasons to clean things up and I'm surprised they continue to put up with Smith regardless of how good he is

Yeah playing Georgia State, Western Kentucky, and the worst Auburn and Tennessee teams in decades is really hell on the neck and back

NFL coaches can't control every aspect of a player's life (where they live, who they hang out with, their family life) like a college coach can.

Seriously? You think a college coach controls all of that? What rock do you live under? The man has a family of his own he spends his evenings with. He's not babysitting his players. The control he exerts comes from getting his players to buy into total commitment, team effort while "on the clock". With the NFL, you don't get anything like that with most (losing) coaches.

When you have the number 1 recruiting class every year and a cupcake schedule. You won't lose. Ever.

Platooning, like Alabama does, saves on the knees as well.

Probably why an Alabama back will never lead the SEC in rushing.

Ingram?

Best player besides Brees on that whole saints team. Can't wait for that shitty franchise to let him free agent himself to a real football team.

For the love of God, let this happen. He'd be better off just being a Bama cheerleader, waving a towel or some shite.

Ok. Now I know you don't know what you're talking about. Signing a hefty contract in todays NFL doesn't mean shite anymore. He had ZERO interest in free agency. That doesn't happen to "one of the best RTs in the league."

There isn't a right tackle in the league last year that graded out higher than Andre Smith. The whole "bust" thing is a myth repeated as fact on this board, when it's obvious y'all don't know wtf you're talking about.
