3. then I-55 to St. Louis
4. I-70 to Kansas City
5. I-29 to Omaha!

Believe that's the same route I took last year. It's about 13.5-14 hours. It's really not that bad of a drive. Only parts that kind of suck are Arkansas and the other side of Kansas City.

Last year I finally just said "frick it" and went. Had a friend that let me stay at her apartment for free and she had already bought the tickets. Can't beat that.

Considering I was born in Lansing, Michigan to a Michigan State mom and a Mississppi State dad who went north after he graduated I am not sure I see where you are going here.
