What do y'all think? Was he joking? I find it hard to believe he was offered after just one good season in a BCS conference.

He's probably telling the truth. He probably sees the next two years as his best chance at a BCS championship and then might entertain a move later on. He's a young guy that will probably have several more coaching jobs before it's all said and done.

The same reason Trooper lied about being offered the OC job or whatever it was with the Cowboys. So he can tell naive 17 year olds that he would rather stay at aTm and coach them than take an NFL job.
I'm not saying he is lying, but there is definitely at least one good reason for it.

I have a hard time believing that in this day and age, that an NFL team could offer a major college coach like Sumlin a HC job and nobody in the media catch wind of it.
