How about a fan draft?

This place is pretty slow and I'd like to have a sort of fan draft to get some more people posting over here. Obviously not any trolls (TigerNMiami) but posters who can add objective opinions to conversations and not 100% sunshine pumping gumpness.
For the BearRant they posted a thread on the OTB for people to post in if they wanted access and give reasons why and then they had a thread on their board where they voted on people to let in. I guess we could try something like that.

I'm not talking about adding as much as the BearRant but maybe 5 solid posters, give or take a few?

I like the idea. This place is dead most of the time because half the Bama fans on the SECr are just there to troll and have no interest in actually discussing sports.

Im pretty against this. I dont think we should be granting access for anyone but Bama fans.

I'm against, but if it happens they should not be allowed to post in recruiting thread. The UK fan posted harmlessly in there and it still caused some bickering.

Aren't there other boards for talking to posters from other schools? Nothing against these guys or anything, but that's what the rant and ot are for

You literally cannot start a thread on the SECr without it being derailed and turned into a flamefest by all of the trolls within a couple of pages, if it makes it that far.
I have no problem with letting fans of other teams post here as long as they aren't going to troll and talk shite.

Yeah, which is why I don't go there.
Creating "team boards" for the purpose of allowing only a select group of posters post would create unnecessary drama, IMO
