I think the consensus was he preferred USC when he asked FSU to release him. No big surprise here, seeing as he never visited UGA

What!?! Some great linebacker from the south wants to go to USCw?! No way. Ask Jarvis how that worked out for him. Plain and simple...SoCal sun...ample white girls...celebrities....some of these kids fall for that.

I never thought he was interested in us to begin with. Just smoke and mirrors.

If you're going to a university in California, the most ample supply of girls tends to be Asian.

You do realize that if the USCw staff had medically cleared him JJ29 would have never come back? Dont get me wrong he is in my top 5 dawgs of all time. But we got extremely lucky he came back home.

Exactly, otherwise he'd be yet another Georgian we watch succeed elsewhere. We were really lucky to get a mulligan on him.

He wouldn't have come back at all without Grantham. Probably would've gone to FSU instead.

Willie Martinez and Rodney Garner fricked us over with a lot of defensive talent during their respective tenures.
