Basically I see us trying to make a brand that's the anti Kentucky, and I love it.

The question will be whether he can do that at a level that beats the UK's of the world with it. And how long does that take to establish?

I guess we're going to try and bring in Kyle Alexander 6'10 C from Canada, teammate of Jamal Murray. Has offers from Pitt and Arkansas.

Looks athletic from his mixtape. Hope we can land him. Are we scared of losing Woods? (Sp?). Are we cooling on him?

I don't know if that's really the point.

Pinkels program isn't built to beat Alabama, it especially wasn't the mission in the beginning of his build. It's of course a goal to win the SEC and the national championship, which requires beating teams like Alabama.

It's built to be really good, really sustainable, rock solid and on the years when things align you have a shot to go all the way.

That's what KA is going for.

How long does it take to establish?

Think it depends on how things go. I don't know. I think the point is progress -- meeting checkpoints towards the vision.

Just how many of those types do we want? I'll trust that he's got the talent for this level without looking at him but is he not the same type of player as about 3 or 4 other guys?

All the other targets they have are wings.

It will really depend on what Mizzou gets from its guards.

Most good teams really only play 8-9 guys. So Allen can probably pick up 10-15 minutes as the 4th big.

Clark, Teki, & Wright need to average 35-40 together. Wouldn't surprise to see Payne & Gant as double figure scorers.

So if you split the first number up evenly, Clark, Teki and Wright need to average about 12-13 each. Then Payne and Gant in double figures too. That's 5 guys averaging double digits coming from a team that was 321st in scoring. No offense, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Base it really on progress i expect from Wright & Teki.

I absolutely believe they average double figures.

Gant & Payne are more players that can get to double figures, but maybe less likely.

I don't think the team stays 321 in scoring. I'm expecting the tempo and efficiency to pick up this year.
Some of that is from player development some from better team chemistry.

And I'm not saying any one player won't average double figures and I'm not saying they won't improve from 321st in scoring. What I am saying is the team will NOT have 5 guys averaging in double digits.

Do we want to just let this thread keep rolling? Or does someone want to start a new basketball recruiting thread? This one is 2 years old now and I wouldn't be opposed to a fresh thread now that this class is apparently done but I'm not gonna start it.

What do y'all think?

I think we can unpin this thread.

If we have anymore stuff happen with this class, we can post here.

Let's start a new one.
