Payne and Woods are OVing on 3/30. That leaves only 3 OV's remaining for the season I believe.

Why do I get the feeling that these 2 are going to round out the class?

I'm hoping for Mulder and Woods. Mulder is a 4* #10 JUCO on 247, Woods is an 89 3* #17 JUCO. Payne is an 85 3* #31 JUCO and Meyer isn't rated or ranked at all. I don't want us to even waste an OV on Meyer.

And where do the open roster spots come from? Do we have space for 5 incoming players?

I think we still have 1 spot available no? And then the other one is me waiting to hear about Bello.

We're allowed 13. We have 9 returning and 3 committed. So if everyone returns, we have 1 more scholarship to give. I'm betting it's one of these JUCO guys. They seem to have been spending a lot of time on them lately. I think the Bryant deal was one last attempt and to hear it from the horse's mouth.

If Bello doesn't return, I'd anticipate the other JUCO kid to fill the other spot.

Wouldn't surprise me if we find another 5th year guy in the meantime.

4* SG KJ Walton from Indiana is getting a visit from the coaches soon and is apparently "very interested" in Mizzou.

3* C Michael Edwards received an offer this week. He's 6'10 and 225 from Michigan. Michigan is sniffing around and may offer him if they miss on a guy or two. Fulford is apparently the one recruiting him.

Guards are cool and all, but we are in desperate need of a post presence for next year.

Hopefully a transfer shakes loose.

I'd prefer Bryant.

I like that Walton is a top 150.

The fact we're still rummaging around with so few apparent openings is not encouraging.

Bryant? Likely out. The other big power forward, Woods I think? Prolly out.

If we're considering Walton, what does that say about Eubanks, Mulder or Payne coming to Mizzou? Nothing good.

Sigh.

The only positive we have with Bryant right now is both IU and Cuse don't have any scholarships available. IU had a SO leave today to make room for their 2 current commits. If another player leaves that will probably be our answer. Cuse losing scholarships would require a lot of turnover to make room. If UK fills up, we may still have a shot.

It just has the feeling of a rudderless ship. Look over here. Look over there. But can't set one defined path.

I'd guess it has less to do with a lack of direction and more to do with a lack of interest from their targets. Not recruiting during the worst year a program has seen in half a century has consequences, I guess.
