It's not college basketballs rule, it's an NBA rule. CBB just needs to work with the NBA on finding a better solution.

Basketball Recruiting Thread
Nick Noskowiak a 4* PG from Wisconsin was released from his LOI at Marquette and said Mizzou, Georgia, Auburn, Cal, and a few others have reached out to him. Looks like we're wanting 2 PG's in this class, so Isabell is more than likely gone after this year.

Isabell living would not be the worst thing.

Nor would it be the best thing.

I really like Isabell. Kid has moxy and has playmaking skills, probably more than anyone else. He needs to mature a bit (as would be expected), but he can be phenominal in the future.

I agree. A PG with an outside shot and some ice water in his veins is a great thing. Zaire Taylor, Melvin and Lee Coward were all great guys to have the ball in their hands at the end of games, even though they had less "talent" than a Flip.

I like this freshman class. If they stay together then I think that they can have a real good run over the next couple years.
This recruiting class has hit on some of their key needs just need a big and a scorer for next year.

I hope you're right and they can play at this level. Get another swing type guy and a SG doesn't help if they can't contribute at this level.

This class of freshmen have all shown they belong, just do it in flashes.
They all need about 10-20 lbs of muscle.
Offensively they all need to develop their jump shot, develop 1 move, then a counter to that.
Not saying that they make a deep tourney run or anything, just think there is a thin line between good and bad team.

I was talking about the commits, not the current players.

I think the incoming guys do fit key needs.
None will star or get huge minutes, but they all provide needs. I have seen a few games this year where they have competed against othe high D1 players and they have more than held their own.

Where checking out Shawntres Davis 4* PF from GA. We need to land one of these 4* bigs if KA wants to be here for year 3.

He will have a tough time contributing his freshman year at 200 lbs.

To recap a bit, we get 12OV's a year, and have used 7 so far, with Cook and Eubanks scheduled to visit still, so 3 OV's left. I hope Mulder and Murray, if he reclassifies, get 2 of them, and who knows on the last 2. The list of PF/C targets PM put out is underwhelming to say the least.

For what it is worth both Eubanks and Davis have academic issues. Not sure if they can get eligible. If they can get in they are both talented players, especially Eubanks.

So what bigs do we currently have a realistic shot at? Simply have to get one for next year that can contribute right away.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's not a transfer, Brit juco or 5th year.

Here's the ones PM lists us as having interest in:

Thomas Bryant 4*
Levi Cook 3*
John Carlos Reyes 3*
Shawntrez Davis 4*
Kyle Alexander NR Canadian player, Thon Maker's teammate. Duke has been looking at him so he must be ok.
Alex Olesinski 3*
Kyle Meyer NR JUCO transfer from Iowa. Was a 3* in HS when he signed with the Hawkeyes.
Conor Clifford NR JUCO transfer from UC-Irving.
