Long story I got hurt on the job last year ended up having shoulder surgery twice.During this time the company I work for was going to pull out of town.Just found they were awarded a substantial contract and they will stay in this market and I could be on the ground floor of this.I was also offered a job with the local school board with a annual cut in pay of 20k.She wants me to just quit and take this job.The doctors have given me a permanent medium duty rating and she feels I should just take this job cause I may not get another offer.I don't know what to say to her.
I know women be crazy but dang I have been waiting for this contract to be awarded all week.She just shoots down all my good feelings.

Wives want to be secure. Security financially, emotionally, and physically is a HUGE deal for them.
Has less to do with her not supporting you and more with her just not wanting to take a risk, tbh.

You need to take he out to a nice dinner by surprise and then y'all can talk over the meal. Secretly buy all of your food from dollar tree until you recover from the nice dinner that y'all went to. I should soooo major in psychology. She will be in such a great mood that she will agree to everything.

Ok, so she's looking for stability, but does she really realize what a 20k pay cut entails when she does not work? Does she handle the finances? If not, stand your ground. I say this as a working mother point of view.
