UA's Phillip Ely likely to transfer to Toledo

Ryan Bass of Bright House Sports reports that Ely will transfer from UA to Toledo, where he will sit out the 2013 season and have two years of eligibility remaining once 2014 begins. Though there has been no official confirmation of the move from either school.

Kind of surprised UA took him. If I recall, it was a weak QB class that year.

He was the top QB on LSU's board. Alabama offered WAY late into the recruiting process after it seemed LSU's dominos began to fell, and he was all that was left.
