Asking for a friend who thinks Mizzou in the West and maybe Auburn in the East? Would make everybody happy

If they thought their record was bad in the East have fun in the West

It'll sound corny, but really don't care...just glad to be in the SEC. Stick us wherever. Geographically, yes, the west makes more sense. Is that done without upsetting rivalries? Dunno. In the east we'd get thumped regularly by UF, UGA and SC. In the west we'd get thumped regularly by LSU, Bama, A&M and whoever happens to be strong that year.
ETA - Thought I had Bama in there as well. No slight intended.

This is perfect and should happen. It fixes everything. I would hate to lose the Auburn game annually but if this is whats needed to fix a broken system I'm all for it.

AU has wanted to be in the east forever. More traditional rivals.

It's not perfect and it doesn't fix everything.

I know you're flaming, but they've been heavily recruiting TX, and doing a decent job of it, for a while.
Them being in the West and having more exposure to TX and the surrounding states probably would be best for them, strictly speaking long term.

Right, UA would have two rivals in east.
Now Mizzou/Kentucky switch with AU/UA would be .....perrrrrfect.

You would have to keep Bama in the west balance wise. Again, moving Auburn and Mizzou is perfect. All rivalries are intact and we can get rid of permanent opponents.

AU/UA, AU/UGA and UA/UT won't be done away with.
Probably get some flack for this but one is not like the other two. Stopping UA/UA and AU/UGA would be a sin. The IB is not as traditional as it's made out to be and the BOT way back in the day that thought it a bad idea to have this annually may have been on to something.
flame away.

I've never given it much thought. What's lost by moving Auburn to the east? Bama loses either the Tennessee or Auburn rivalry game? Anything else?
