I actually have all of the mini SEC helmets except A&M and Mizzou. I confess to breaking the State one.

Shouldn't our helmet still be red? I thought we only wore white helmets for a very short time.

Just like ours technically shouldn't be powder blue or have col. Reb on it. I like to see the previous one though.

Coach Bryant used to have us wear white helmets whenever we played other teams with red helmets (especially in the 60s). We also wore white helmets for a time from 49 - the 50s I believe. Then Perkins had us wear white helmets for away games (or at least some of the away games).

Damn, I remember those SC helmets like it was yesterday.
I remember having one as a matter of fact, and I remember when Hardees used to give away coffee cups with those helmets on them.
