Is South Carolina out of a hosting spot?

State has a spot locked up. Beating SCar 2/3 and now 3-0 in conference tourney.
SCar loses 2/3 to State. 0-2 in conference tourney. Clemson, North Carolina, and NC State as likely host locations. SC has lost 4 of their last 5. Series losses to Florida, Arkansas, Vandy(sweeps) State.
Will be interesting. With the way the committee has attempted to spread out regionals the last few years, I've got a hard time believing the Carolina's have 4 regionals and the rest of the country 12.
What say you?

Nothing against SCar, I just find it hard to believe 4 regional spots will be in the Carolina's.
The selection process has been hard to put a finger on the last 3-4 years, but one thin that has been consistent is the effort to spread the games around.

I think we will be a host because of the politics of it all. We are a guarantee to sellout our regional (I actually already have my regional tickets in my hand), and we are a bigger name than Arkansas nationally in terms of past success.
However, in terms of performance on the field, I feel we shouldn't host.
If it came down to us or Arkansas for the last spot, Arkansas should be a host purely because they kicked our arse in Columbia the whole weekend.

Haven't done well down the stretch. Hosting is not likely in our future.

And Arkansas will put 10-11k in the house, so that doesn't matter.

Unless a school's stadium holds less than a 1,000 I don't think they consider $$ anymore. Take a look at the projections. There are no #2 seeds hosting like there has been in the past. I think they would rather give it to a newbie team like K-State than a fringe host team that is not new to the scene. With that said USCe will host over Hogs.

This isn't about comparing Ark to SCar. It's about 4 regionals being in the Carolina's, which I don't see happening.

No. 16 teams host. We have the name brand of SC, aka the team that made the finals the last 3 season, have a nice big baseball stadium that will sellout and look good on TV, and we beat Clemson 2/3.

It's gonna be a close shave for us hosting this year. Our RPI is still going to be up there, but I'm not sure how the committee will see things.
We've got the venue and will pack the place - but you just never know.

Should be the team that shouldn't be given a regional host. They have lost as much lately as South Carolina has.
Head to Head South Carolina should host over Clemson
Ark, Clemson, South Alabama, and Va Tech for the last spot.

You were on a thin bubble then you beat USC on the road and are winning in the SECt. You cant denie you were on the bubble before you did that.
