chicago Rivals.

OL Jordan Sims, Homewood, Ala.: Sims entered RCS Birmingham on the cusp of four-star status, so a good showing may have earned him a bump up to the elite territory.
Jordan Sims did not play to the expectations of his game film.
The opportunity went to the wayside because Sims disappointed not only in the one-on-one action, but he wasn't in game shape or top form as we were accustomed to seeing on film.
Runner-up: WR Cameron Denson, Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe: Denson put up monster numbers as a junior but looked almost uninterested at RCS Phoenix. He didn't stand out during one-on-one drills and, on two occasions, was easily handled by an underclassman. When Denson turns it on, he's certainly a capable player, but he didn't have his best day by any stretch against good competition in Phoenix.
Honorable mention: DT Khairi Clark, Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna; WR Neiko Creamer, Elkton (Md.) Eastern Christian Academy; TE Garrett Dickerson, Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic; TE Bryce Dixon, Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure; OL D.J. Foster, Lincoln (Neb.) Southeast; OL Mike Grimm, Bethel Park, Pa.; LB Chris Register, Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley; RB Donte Thomas-Williams, Durham (N.C.) Hillside.

this was from Rivals and was listed under the heading of most disappointed

FWIW it was at Rivals Birmingham, not Rivals Chicago. Chicago was the last event, and the location of the yet to be held 5* Challenge.

At first I thought this was a prospect's name. Too bad, would've been an awesome name

NOt sure I follow you..the article said it was the most recent event in Chicago which was a regional. Either way he was listed as the most disappointed. So you are saying he is going to be invited to the 5 star challenge?

The article is a compilation of all 15 events, ending with the Rivals Chicago. In the blurb about Sims, it says he competed at Rivals Birmingham, not the camp series held in Chicago.
They were all 15 regional, not big camps people were flying into. Sims competed at the Birmingham camp and did not impress. The regional camps are also used to invite players worthy of competing at the 5* Challenge in Chicago, which Sims did not achieve.

gotcha. so I assume Bama is still high on him or does NS and company have folks higher up on the food chain they want to nail down. The school I route for plays them this year. We did last year and I just recall this huge guy who stood out.

I don't think it will change much between and him and Bama. They don't seem to be pressing him to commit, but they still want him. Wouldn't be surprised if they want him at the OL/DL camp they hold in Mid June, as that's where they personally do their evaluations. It's the same camp where unknowns like Darren Lake put themselves in the spotlight against more known players. They were looking at Matt Cochran and were close to offering in '12, then Lake comes along and destroys him and any chance at on offer from Bama.
I hope they get Cole Hardin from that list in that camp too, sounds like he's nasty...

Yea supposedly he is in better shape and that should help him out at the camp.
