When was the last time a team finished the season with a team ERA below 2?

Serious question. Coming into the series with Auburn, Arkansas' team ERA was 1.87. Absolutely amazing to keep a team ERA that low for an entire season. Has it ever happened before? I tried looking it up but without much luck.

i doubt ever. it amazes me y'all didn't win more. however, it saddens me (and i'm sure gladdens you) that stud pitching is usually the difference in the post season. y'all may go further than you think.

I fully expect us to at least get to a Super. This team is built for tournaments. DVH showed he gave little fricks about midweek games and we did our annual dive toward the end of the season. I'm sure we'll go 0-2 in Hoover again just like last year. We'll need our young guys to step up though and our bats have GOT to come back alive or we're in trouble. But we were saying the exact same thing last season and it turned out ok.

lol Arkansas's ERA would average above 6 if you guys didn't rule every ground ball that gets passed your infield an error

We've actually given up 13 less total runs than LSU has in 3 more innings played.

ETA: Here's the top 5 in ERA with total and earned runs also listed;

1. Arkansas ERA 1.87, ER 95, Total Runs 135
2. Oregon St. ERA 2.12, ER 104, Total Runs 142
3. LSU ERA 2.37, ER 128, Total Runs 148
4. North Carolina ERA 2.39, ER 124, Total Runs 146
5. Louisville ERA 2.40, ER 128, Total Runs 163

Must suck to talk out of your arse all the time.

Arkansas has good pitching but makes fielding mistakes and y'all are very inconsistent hitting. That is what has hurt y'all more than anything

Oh we know. Our weaknesses aren't hard to find. I just hope the recent position changes in the infield have at least lowered the defensive issues.

We haven't made as many errors since we moved McAfee to SS, Anderson to LF and Fico back to 1B. Our outfield is extremely good defensively. Our hitting still sucks though. We were missing Serrano and Mahan the last two games but i doubt it would have mattered.

Haha that's the only comeback after being completely burned? I expect more from a Texan troll.

Not sure why you expected more. Poncho is about as lazy as they come.

An average of 4.67 runs per game for the series. I haven't done the math but I think y'all will be cutting it close
