FIRST and ONLY conference series win of the year
Also today, the Dawgs put up more runs (9) than we did against any other SEC game this year
Thanks ........ Florida

Is Perno on the hot seat or what?

Perno will be fired by Friday.

I cannot figure-out Florida this year. All that talent, they get up enough in order to sweep us at their place (albeit we were beat-up and missing some key players), and then they somehow manage to lose a series to UGA.
WTF Gators? Worst case of Jekyll and Hyde baseball I can remember in a long time, probably since the 97 Gamecocks.

No clue who might be on the list to replace him, but it's kiss of death when your players start stumping for you to keep job in post game interviews.

I used to live up in Atlanta when he got hired and had some good teams.
So even the players aren't backing him...yeah that's bad.
Georgia, recruiting ground & tradition....it'll attract someone good...solid job.

No, the players want him to stay but they're talking to the media about how he needs to stay and some of those opinions were offered unsolicited. I think the writing is on the wall.
Perno has recruited well but when all your top recruits forgo college after being drafted, it turns out to be a major waste.

No reason why UGA shouldnt be a monster in the SEC Easy... Metro Atlanta area to recruit from, good tradition and the Hope Scholarship in a coaches back pocket... Please hire away Bianco.

East Cobb's coach basically admitted to steering his players away from UGA due to their staff; and he's a Dawg.

We gotta hire a good guy that cares. Perno doesn't care anymore, and hasn't since 2008.

Monte Lee... College of Charleston...

In 2013, Monte Lee enters his fifth season as head coach at the College of Charleston. Lee, a former College of Charleston standout and South Carolina assistant coach, was named the Cougars' head coach on July 3, 2008.
In this past offseason, Lee was named one of Baseball America's Top 10 Head Coaches Under 40 in all of college baseball.
He was also named to Perfect Game's Top 10 Rising Head Coaches list. Lee joined the Cougars after spending the six seasons as an assistant at South Carolina under head coach Ray Tanner. He served as the Gamecocks' recruiting coordinator in his last season.
In his four seasons at CofC, Lee has posted a record of 156-85 with two trips to the NCAA Tournament and a Southern Conference regular season championship in 2012. He has coached three SoCon Players of the Year, one SoCon Pitcher of the Year and one SoCon Freshman of the Year. In his tenure, 17 different players have been drafted or signed free agent contracts, and seven different players were All-Americans.
