A lot of fans (not just LSU fans) say that.

But really, I dont see it. He's a hardass because his job requires him to be. Still though, he hasn't done anything that would make me think he's egotistical.

He always shakes the other coach's hand and treats him with respect. He and Les love chatting it up before the annual game.

He gives the other team credit when needed during the press conferences afterwards. He understands the game of football, and he's just really successful.

To me, when people say egotistical douches, I think of Kiffin, Chizik, (sometimes Meyer), Orgeron, and Tressel. Saban does not fall into the category of those coaches. He doesn't deserve all the ridicule he's been getting. Yeah, he's successful and he knows he's successful, but I have never really seen him brag about it. Instead, he just talks about winning the next NC.

What say ye Rant??

No.

He's a huge prick don't get me wrong, but I don't think that's the right way to describe him.

He's not the nicest guy in the world, but he's about the opposite of egotistical. That would be results oriented, not process oriented.

Yeah he completely lacks empathy and has no problem casually stepping over your body as you have a medical emergency, but he doesn't call for help for ego as much as he honestly believes that wasting that 5 minutes would result in losing the next game.

only by accident really

his primary motivations are probably fear of failure and desire to win

Does it matter?

He fricking wins.

If Gus Malzahn ends up winning a lot but ends up being revealed as an egotistical douche... you know what?

I will not give ONE single frick.

He was nice to me in the context of being a booster's son.

When I saw him on campus and he thought I was just another student he was a complete jackass.

In fairness though I honestly thought Les was going to knock me out that time we were both walking up the stairs at the same time.

Nailed why you lose, he wins. Congrats on successfully completing the therapy. Problem solved, # 2 rings for everyone.

Wait, you were not really serious, right?

He seems like he would be fairly nice. I don't think he is any fun. Way to serious for things like that. Nothing to be gained from it.

I believe him when he says that the team's success isn't about him. I think he gets alot of joy out of helping young people. He gets a huge amount of unbelievably unfair shite.

Definitely not egotistical. He's quite affable when he's not working.
