That was a horrible article. I hope he was joking. And yea maybe some teams lucked out on getting to the NC, but they showed up to win those championships.

OSU's 1 and only BCS title was won by a coach that was banned from coaching in the NCAA. And that's their only title in the last 40 years.

The hypocrisy is what gets me. I don't recall oversigning being a blip on the radar. It surfaced a bit after 2003, then beginning 2006 it became a flood. I'm confident the 'welfare of student-athletes' is not the primary motivation.
