I think this will end up being the biggest rivalry of the expansion. For those not old enough to remember this was one of the best home/home football series we used to have. When you consider recruiting and geography this has the potential to be one of if not the biggest dislike rivalries for LSU. Many people would point to Bama right now but if Saban left the dislike wouldn't be as strong. Many people point to Ole Piss and Pigs but I think both can be surpassed, especially Arky. IMO the aggies have the foundation to be stronger than both Ole Piss and the Pigs. This could turn into a really nasty rivalry.

It will probably be the only rivalry from the expansion since Missouri hasn't proven to be rivalrous yet.

LSU is not accepting applications for rivalries.

Arkansas and Ole Miss already beg LSU to be their main rival. Now, we can add Texas A&M to the begging list as well.

It will get very heated.

But on the other hand, I think there will be some mutual respect. Two great fan bases. Two fan based that love their schools, perhaps to a fault. Two fan bases that show unwavering support, and two fan bases that, at the end of the day, will share a beer, some BBQ and some boudin.

I love to hate LSU and I'm on record that it is easily the best tailgating I've ever been to. The food is over the top and I completely "get" their fans.

We're more than content with Tennessee and Auburn, and have been for a very long time.

Yeah I see it being a heated rivalry with a respect side to it like LSU and Florida

You quoted the "very long time" part, so I'm puzzled by the fact that you seem to have not read it.

Who's applying?

Rivalries aren't claimed; they fester over time.

I agree with this. I have a lot of great Aggie friends here in Houston and we give each other a lot of shite but at the end of the day I think both fan bases can respect each other a lot especially with their relations to the Oil and Gas industry here in Louisiana and Texas but come game day I hope LSU beats their a$$!!

2nd and 3rd best of the west rivals, good for ya'll. We will be rivals with Georgia, Florida and South Carolina, winners of the east, over the next few years. But hey,
