I'd take Franklin. IMO he's an excellent coach and recruiter. He's done very well at Vandy which is rare. Also he's been successful while the SEC as a whole is strong.

Jones.

Four conference championships under his belt. He is a better recruiter than Franklin, and he isn't a classless dickhead like Franklin.

Franklin. Success at Vandy, good recruiter, SEC experience, and has the my way or the highway mentality. Butch Jones hasn't proved much YET other than being a good coach at a mid-level school. Butch has had a solid off-season though.

I suspect if Jones doesn't work out not many VOL fans will still be claiming how excited they were with the hire. Hopefully he does well and gets them back to at least the good Phulmer yrs

I dont think that is true, UT was always able to recruit very well before Dooley.

Franklin is working with a whole lot less. But Vols fans are going to say Jones. After what they have been through, he must seem like the messiah.

Vonn Bell was a 5* DB. Born and raised a UT fan.

Dooley wouldn't even return his calls.
