Before we get started:

- Yes, I know Hoover has a contract until infinity...

Five site rotation-

1.) Regions Field, Birmingham, AL

2.) The Baseball Grounds, Jacksonville, FL

3.) Zephyr Field, Metairie, LA

4.) Coolray Feild, Gwinett, GA

5.) Autozone Park, Memphis, TN

Not a fan of Zephyr Field.

I like the other spots, especially Autozone Park.

No. It's the only time the state of Alabama gets to watch great baseball.

Aesthetically, me either.

It does guarantee significant revenue from ticket sales, has the space for the "coveted" RV Parking, and is in a metro-area ideal for SEC Tourism.

I'm all for Autozone, but Jacksonville would be a disaster. Metairie would have great attendance b/c of LSU, but is very far away from all other schools. I think Gwinnett would also be terrible. People won't even show up to Braves games in the ATL area; they aren't going to show up for college. Birmingham works because it's within 6 hours of nearly every SEC school (well, until A&M and Missouri came along).

ETA: but not Hoover; Hoover sucks

Beach location, Memorial-day weekend? Sounds like a good option to me...

I'd also consider the AA park in Pensacola.

How about Trustmark Park? Somewhat centrally located and a nice park

I like Bricktown in OKC. The park isn't as good as Memphis, but the surrounding area is much better

I'm already thinking of the traffic nightmare on Airline and this thing is just hypothetical.

I would love to see the tourney in Metairie. I would also like to see it in Memphis as well. Been wanting to go back for years, that would give me a great excuse.

Autozone in Memphis would be fantastic. I'm not familiar with any if the other parks, except for Hoover.

Memphis is a great park but kind of a weird location. Ole Miss is the closest team to there but that city is a Big East city now.

Are you gonna call New Orleans a Big East city too? NOLA is and always will be a SEC city.

I'd throw in...

Fluor Field - Greenville, SC

almost as close to Athens than Gwinnet. Closer to Knoxville than Memphis.

I would attend that. Hotels might be a problem that time of year if you don't book in advance..
