One of my non-LSU favorites.

In order for a running back to qualify, he should have played at least HALF his time during the actual BCS era.
That eliminates:
-Ricky Williams
-Kevin Faulk

Seems about right.
It's sad that all these guys will never be huge in the NFL, since that league has basically written the rule book such that passing almost every play is the only thing that makes sense.
When I was growing up the RB and running game were the core of most teams, now it's all about the passing game only.

So, what you're really saying is that DMac moves up to #3.

A Dallas cowboys commentator was talking on the radio the other dat about Felix Jones. Essentially said that his college stats were very misleading based on his limited number of carries. You then look at his lack of pro production, and it kind of furthers the point.
Not sure if this is really relevant to the thread, but I thought it was interesting.

I think the list sucks, but hey it's an arbitrary list that means nothing.

Kevin Faulk probably had the most successful NFL career of the bunch...but hat to be adept at ST and receiving additionally to do it.

Reggie Bush should be #1.

Awful.
I'll take an argument that Richardson is better than Williams and Brown, but there's no way in hell Ingram's stumpy arse is.
Alexander's better than Richardson and Ingram.

Nah.
Top 3 for sure, but no way I'd take him over Peterson.

What about it is misleading? I'm pretty sure Felix still had back to back 1000 yard seasons. You dont put up those numbers and his ypc just because he had Dmac around. I do think he benefitted a lot from being with Dmac however.

I'm not really sure how he could say his stats were misleading based on a limited number of carries?
He had 386 carries for 2,956 yards in 3 seasons. He averaged 7.7 ypc through three seasons in the SEC which is still the best all-time.
Take out his freshman year and he had 287 carries in his next two seasons for a little over 2,330 yards. He averaged 8.7 ypc his junior year against a stacked box almost every single time he touched the ball. That's absolutely nuts to have that kind of average.
The guy was legit at Arkansas but injury prone as hell at Dallas and never got it together.

So give some reasons as to why caddy and ronnie are better than MI.

Peterson had one of the best freshman rushing campaigns of all-time, but he was injured way too much in his last two years.
Plus, Bush was a legitimate pass catcher and the best home-run threat I've ever seen.

If Stacy made the list how did they leave Dexter off? Dont wanna come off as Mr Homer here but Dex was the FIRST player to ever have 1000 yds rushing and 500 recieving (2009). Just saying
Plus he had a very good career overall, besides that ridiculous senior year in which he torched SEC defenses. It's not like he racked up those yards against our puffs that year.
He barely touched the ball against our weak non-cons SELA, UAB, and NAU. Against Memphis he caught a td but that was it. Nutt hadnt started consistently giving him the rock at that point.
My lurd there's alot of SEC talent on that list tho. Thanks for posting.
