Dude, it was a stop gap schedule to get us through the expansion crap. Neither you or I have any earthly idea what factors went into making this year's schedule. If you really think that Bama or the REC imposed it's will on the schedule based on one year, then you are crazier than this guy:

Two years actually. The fact that Alabama has 4 SEC West home games(which is an unfair advantage), when no other team had more than 3, is because of Alabama tweaking the schedule. Is it crazy to think that Alabama wants a schedule to favor them? Why is that crazy? All teams want a favorable schedule.

I'd love a 9-game SEC schedule if there wasn't a permanent cross-divisional game. People keep harping about "tradition" and the sort but I'd take fairness over tradition any day. Fans might be angry for a little while but they'd get used to rotating their rivals in every couple years just like people will get used to TAMU and Mizzou being in the conference. 9 SEC games + FSU + a couple warm-up cupcakes would make for a great season for me

I think you're smart enough to know what LSU fans bitch about. It's not cross divisional scheduling. It's permanent cross divisional scheduling.

Nobody is saying Bama should never play UT, or UK, or anyone else for that matter. But it should all be on a rotation when it comes to cross divisional.

It makes perfect sense.

To much over thinking going on here. It's about the money. There would be less OOC paying of teams from the ACC, Sun Belt, etc. Money stays in conference. I doubt $live would be opposed to it....

A conscious decision was made to take Georgia off Alabama's schedule and put them on LSU's.

Of course it was. Why don't gumps want to admit to this? Alabama protects themselves. Do they think LSU volunteered to play Georgia. Do they think all the Athletic Directors sit around in a circle and get veto power? No. They have nothing do with it. The schedule makers don't have equal representation and make what they make... so how COULDN'T there be bias?

LSU is the only people who care. No one else bitches, we just play. Try getting a coach that has some common sense, then see if you can win a big game!

If I was in your position, I would think so too. Good for Alabama, they are a product of their own success.
