Since the 2011 "Game of the Century" and BCS title game, LSU and Bama has had 31 players drafted combined.

That's amazing thinking about all of the talent in those games.

You'll be adding a lot more to that number after next year's draft.

21-0

I feel like it will be more comforting to hear this from an LSU fan before some dumbass bama fan comes and starts repeating it like a broken record

Would make for a good 30 for 30, given the circumstances of 2011, the two teams, and the insane amount of talent.

Alabama's 2010 team, that went 10-3, had 14 future first round picks on it.

The Florida/Tennessee 2001 game blows this out of the water.

It's not even close.

Still a couple more drafts years left for the 2011 game though

You'll need a miracle to reach the total for the 2001 game. I'll try to come up with the number

The Florida/Tennessee 2001 game

One of the most important games in LSU history that we weren't playing in. That 2001 SECCG win was the definitive turning point for us and I just don't think we beat Florida.

I think both programs will take their chances. There's still three years left for those that redshirted in the 2011 season.

The true turning point was halftime of the previous years Peach Bowl in which Booty was benched and Rohan Davey took over

I don't know if my count is right, but I have 58 players in the 2001 UF/UT game going to the NFL.

If Tennessee didn't choke in the SEC title game in 2001, I'm pretty sure the Tennessee/Miami National Title game would have set some absurd record for total draft picks.

You have to have a young team some time.

Florida only had 2(?) players drafted last year.

Choke? The UT QB got clocked early, threw off his back foot for the rest of the game, them some need completions didn't get done. Rushing wasn't an option.

you didn't choke so much as just get flat out beat by a team that wanted it more despite being less talented.

Is that drafted players or does that include UFAs, too?
