Why has LSU not offered him? Are they just trying to get Auburn's hopes up then dash them by offering DW late?

Probably because of his first name. Never trust a D'haquille.

LSU's staff want's to get a feel on how his attitude/behavior is before extending a scholly. They don't want anymore headcases

He knows LSU is interested, but has some things to prove to them before officially getting an offer.
I'm still skeptical that he ever ends up on a 4 year campus. I think he's going the Larry Brackens route.

If he doesnt do anything major to slip up behavior wise, and his grades are in order by December, he will be at LSU. The coaches want him if those things check out, and he wants to be at LSU. He would be a top 3 WR in the SEC right away, almost no chance he goes anywhere for more than 1 year. Everyone who has seen him play say he is the best player theyve ever seen in Louisiana
Sorry bud

Thanks for the honesty anyway. So you are saying he may not finish in December after all? He's been talking like it's a slam dunk.

If he's going to a 4-year school it will be LSU. If he doesnt he's going pro.

The word is that he will, as you said, but the staff is just taking a cautious approach with him. They have been following him for some 4 or 5 years, and this is the first year he really has gotten himself on track. And with how many elite guys want in this class for LSU, especially at WR, they have to take a cautious approach.

No he wouldn't, he's in juco. JUCO kids can go pro.

He has maintained he always has wanted to come to LSU. If that opportunity isnt there for him, then he'll likely just go pro. He would be one of the very few JUCO players to be drafted in the last decade or two.

you sure about that?... I thought you had to be three years removed from graduating High School. I don't think this is the MLB draft situation.
ETA: Williams' scout profile lists a high school for 2010... if that's the case, he could've made himself eligible for this year's NFL draft.

Williams came out of high school the same year as Trovon Reed.

you don't understand. when he got out of HS, he had 2 years that were unacreditted, so he had to work on that.

I saw him play when he was in high school and he was hands down the most talented wide receiver I've ever seen play at that level... for a half... he got ejected right before half time.

To expand on this, I'm kind of surprised that a JUCO hasn't stepped up to be the destination of really dumb kids looking to avoid 4 years schools altogether.
A kid can go to JC, redshirt, and play 2 years after a RS and move on to pro ball. I don't know how big the market of players would be, but it could be a good niche for some JUCO to exploit.

He has wanted to play at LSU his entire life. Just watch his latest video, he is asked if you could attend any school you wanted where would you go? He replied with a big smile "LSU, LSU all day."
