FAYETTEVILLE, AR - Authorities across the state are searching for what they believe to be a stolen private plane. For that reason, airports across Arkansas are on alert. XNA officials and police searched the Highfill airport Tuesday morning after the FAA gave them the warning. They did not find the missing aircraft. Authorities are unsure if and when the plane landed. It's described as a single-engine, low-wing plane with the tail number N960CM.
Crashed a few weeks ago around Casscoe Arkansas and Homeland Security(Not sure if that was the federal agency or not) told the local sherriffs not to touch or go near the plane. Haven't heard anything about it since then. :blackheli
ETA: My brother was telling me about it the other day and wanted to know if anyone had heard anything about it

This was an interesting story, we followed it all morning and kept getting conflicting reports. He ended up getting to Saline county, but the authorities were being shady as hell. One report said he got stopped by the police but then took off and almost ran over an officer. How do you let a guy land and then take off again?
Then they were confused whether the plane was actually stolen or not. Crazy story.

Terrible idea to steal a plane. If you try to land in the wrong place, they will literally scramble fighters and shoot you down

True, and if you don't register a flight plan the FAA is on your arse immediately.

Must have been a small plane that he had on a trailer or something?

Like a truck-boat-truck but with a plane? Sounds badass.

They found the plane ditched/rough landed on a farm looking road somewhere outside of Stuttgart (I believe, at least over in that general area.
Pilot had left the premises (with Elvis?) and no trace of him last that I heard.
Anyway, that's the way I heard it.
