If your school quit athletics, who would you root for?

For me, probably South Carolina (family ties), possibly Arkansas.

I would have to pick someone my school didn't usually play. Maybe someone fun like Oregon or Boise State. Most likely would just follow cfb less closely though.

But seriously, Oregon State.
Because I already do root for them. And they earned my respect in 2004 with an epic battle against LSU. The back to back baseball titles for the Beavs were a nice touch.

I don't know if I'd root for someone as much as against certain teams. I always pull for whoever plays Notre dame, I can't stand any team from California, Texas and Florida state.

no offense but it damn sure wouldn't be ole miss. my hate for y'all goes back a ways. if LSU quit athletics i would just be a saints fan. no way would i root for any college i didn't attend. i'm LSU thru and thru and would probably have to root for the LSU chess team, the LSU debate team, the LSU quiddich team (whatever that is), the LSU womens yoga team, etc, etc. come to think of it, the womens yoga team might be worth checking out.
