I feel like we have a few talented young guys at LB, and he is certainly one of them. I know I was certainly excited about him when we got him and believe he can contribute. I was wondering how much playing time you guys think he will get and if he will be a heavily rotated guy or more of a true back-up.

He will be our new DH30.

I agree. He fits the mold of Donta Hightower perfectly. Reggie is my favorite player on the team and he isnt even a starter yet...
Just think... Jonathan Allen, Rueben Foster, and Reggie Ragland all on the field at the same time...

I don't think it'll be a rotation. CJ/Trey all the way unless garbage time, someone gets hurt, helmet comes off, or someone REALLY needs to catch some air.

I don't know; we seem to be moving more and more toward specialization on defense with different personnel groupings not only for specific packages but also tailored to counter the strengths/tendencies of the particular opponent. If coaches feel that Ragland is better than other ILBs at one skill, then we might see him playing on downs where they think that skill will be needed even if it's only a handful of plays per game

Maybe, but I'm not entirely convinced that we'll be doing that yet, and I hope we don't. I'd like to see CJ and Trey get a chance to do it alone if they can. I wouldn't mind Reggie getting a spot in the rotation, but we'll have to see what happens.

The HUNH may limit this, though.
