The Plaza on East Thach...hence Plazadweller. Its managed by Northcutt Realty. Van was a dick on security deposit but an awesome place for me personally.

The Plaza is good. My gf lives there but it's expensive. Cambridge is literally on campus and it's cheap. The BEST place to meet people and it has dining.

Originally yes, but his best friend is a sophomore and they have talked me into living off campus

I lived in an apartment off of Glenn my first two years. But then I got to drinking age (fake ID age) and I decided a duplex off N. Ross was more my style. Just depends on what he's into and how much you want to spend. I spent 450-500/m on Glenn and 600-700/m at N. Ross.

That's a shame. It was cool living in the dorm my first year. I would suggest apartments off Glenn or Magnolia. I lived close to Lowder. Really depends if you want to walk or ride to campus.

Best party place for partying is creek side. Awesome pool, workout room, etc.

Trailer. We paid 23,000 for it in '07 and sold it for 23,000 in '12. Just had to pay utilities and $180 in lot rent.

Lots of good trailerhoods in auburn. Conway, gentilly, stone gate etc. but I lived in arrowhead. Not bad kind of far from campus,, but it would always make a good gameday trailer. www.arrowheadpark.net

I have always liked Edge West, but that was mostly out of convenience (fraternity across the street, core classes within walking, fun atmosphere). I moved to a place on Thach when I got into major specific classes. 221 Armstrong (@the corner of Armstong and Thach) is pretty solid.

ETA: Never lived in a dorm, and never had the desire to. My s/o lived in the dorms her entire collegiate life. Dorm life always seemed a pain in the arse to me. If your son can handle freedom, he can handle life outside the dorms.

What is your price range that you are hoping for?

Good walking distance is pretty important because the farther it is from campus, easier it is to skip classes.

Honestly though, if he hasn't gotten out of his dorm placement I would take it though. Living in the dorms is important to meet different people you don't know from your hometown. You got 3 years to live off campus

Don't live at university village... it's a shite hole and the management sucks hard.
