how are the reports out of spring practice coming out for your new d-line coach. Do the players like him better than garner, has he shown them new techniques(I remember reading that a georgia player said bama o-line used a technique theyd never seen before). DO you think he'll be able to get your d-line to play up to par, thats the only unit i see holding yall back last two sec championships you'll have gotten mauled up front

He has more depth than Garner ever had since Grantham brought in the 3-4.
Watching the spring game, the DE's were very effective. At nose, it's more wait-and-see. In any regard, depth is there, finally.
Whether you give credit to Wilson or throw shite at Garner, I don't know how much credit/blame you can give to either one based on this upcoming season.
If the DL sucks this year, I'll blame Grantham, not Wilson.

great recruiter -- mediocre position coach -- horrible coordinator
That said, he might be a nice fit in a 3-4. He tried to use that a good bit with us when we never had the personnel to run it last year(the prototype NG was a true FR that stayed in trouble and was never used in that capacity in games)...

I'm with the sit and wait crowd on this. I think we saw some improvement on G-Day, but we'll only know in the opener in Death Valleyjr

Yeah, I meant he sucks as a coordinator. Like engie said, he is a good recruiter and coach, but he had no idea how to run a defense.

Heard nothing but great things so far. He's recruited balls out, and seems to be getting the most out of our guys so far. Of course we haven't played a game yet, but I see no reason to be upset with him.
Garner kind of lived off his (well earned) reputation towards the end. I'm not that sorry to see him go and I'm excited that Wilson is here.

Yeah I sort of get the feeling that Garner moving on was best for both sides. He seemed to have lost his edge at UGA and being back at his alma mater may rejuvenate him a bit.

If he makes it big at UGA I have several books and a cowbell signed by him I'll give you. Just keep his wife away from pissed off fans. She likes to "come at them"
