Who are y'all throwing? Laxer is going for us and he is money at Trustmark, played in 2 state titles and threw a gem there last year.

Laxor got ripped by Petal his Jr year and lost when he pitched at Trustmark.
We are throwing Brandon Woodruff who had a very good game last Tuesday at South Alabama.

meh...
I'm way less-excited about this game than I expected to be -- and I'm sure OM fans feel the same way. We're both underperforming so far...
That said, I'll be there as soon as the gates open tomorrow

Going with my parents. It's a family tradition basically. 1st time I ever saw State play baseball was with my parents at Smith-Wills.

I miss seeing this game at Smith Wills. Bellhaven owns it now so I guess that gives them one of the nicest ballparks, for a school their size, in the nation

Are you serious? That stadium is a dump.

You're a dump! Ugggh!

For a MiLB park? Yes. For a tiny liberal arts college? Not so much
But Smith-Wills holds a lot of sentimental memories. Saw my very first baseball ever there in 1979. I think they were the Jackson Mets then

As it does for me, but the place is still a dump even for a NAIA program.

You must not have played @ Millsaps or Belhaven's on-campus facilities before.
When I played Cotton States in 03 and 04, Millsaps didn't even have lights or a concession stand -- and they are perennially a pretty dang good d3 program with a field in an absolutely beautiful location in Jackson(no, seriously).
They played this rivalry game this year @ Millsaps. Total attendance? 60. LINK
Smith-Wills is easily one of the nicest facilities in all of that division -- and that's a great location for a stadium for a school the size of Belhaven. Average attendance of 500 would be a perennial powerhouse in that classification...
