Is he class of 2013? or 2014? How good is he compared to McKie and Thornwell?

He'll come in with the next class and he is a true PG.

I've seen him play a few times - he's fairly quick, he can dish and he can score.

Coach says USC getting a winner in Shaw

I can't wait til Coach Martin gets his recruits in. I am confident he will build us into a consistent tourney team and once that happens, we could be making deep runs into the tournament.

We need to ink the kid up in Gaffney, the small forward shooting guard who's name escapes me at the moment, because we also want his best friend to play football here ... "Shaq."

LJ Peak? He is Gaffney's star, and word is, he will return from Chicago prep school to play at Gaffney for his senior season.

I had the pleasure of watching the 2012 Thornwell/Peak - Lancaster/Gaffney battle.

Thornwell was a junior, Peak just a sophomore. Double OT game that felt like a college game. Think Thornwell finished with 43 before he fouled out, and Peak had over 30.

Yep, Peak, and you're right, he is coming back from Chicago to play at Gaffney this coming year. And you're right about that Thornwell/Peak battle. You must be a basketball fan to know about that game.

Those two want to play together too.

We just gotta get Coach Spurrier to take the commitment from Shaq personally, once he is allowed to make contact again, and then we'll have Shaq on board with Peak to follow for the basketball team. We need Gaffney to be ours for years to come - but we also need to continue to pull the best athletes, male and female, from within the state and we seem to be doing that right now more than ever.
