I remember Nolan after '95. I always thought he "could" take us back but even though we were two (at least) good recruiting classes away from that I never turned on him. A title and 3 final fours bought him a lifetime pass as far as I was concerned.

What about you? Seems like he should never have a hot seat. But what of he still gets talent but never passes the Elite 8. Is it hot then?

Would you ever turn on him? What would it take? Losing seasons surely but what about 20 years of elite 8s?

For Auburn, that's statue worthy. But Florida has already been to the mountaintop. You okay with never getting back to the final 4 in your lifetime? Would an elite 8 "only" mean lifetime contract or eventual hot seat?

Curious. Considering y'all have actually won titles.

There are no nba locks on his team. His seat is not warm at all. He just needs to start recruiting dirty like everyone but ug.

You are just an average arky troll.

Richardson didn't make it out of the first weekend of the tournament in his final six seasons.

Unless Billy's program suddenly becomes a dumpster fire (3 straight Elite Eights is far from that), then his job will never be in question as long as he wants it.

We'd all be worshiping at the Church of Grant if he had produced 3 straight elite 8s (the farthest we've EVER gotten in the tourney) at Bama. I firmly believe, even though I hate UF, Donovan's last title will not be 2007.

Barring something crazy, I hope he remains as long as possible.

If Bama is recruiting dirty then Anthony Grant needs to be fired, because it ain't working.

WTF. Donovan has something like 21 straight 20+ win seasons.

Arky should worry about 'getting there' before worrying about if another team 'gets there' often enough.

Grant's actually known as one of the "cleanest" coaches in terms of recruiting. Don't really have to worry about that.

I think Billy D killed his momentum when he resigned to coach in the NBA and then changed his mind. It was a huge distraction for him and something you don't need in recruiting against other schools.

Our recruiting is fine, thanks. Have two top ten players coming in next season, actually.

The SEC would die for a coach like Donovan....mark this post as about as dumbazz as I have seen. Job security...really?

Erik Murphy went stone cold...0 fer 11 will do that....and he made bad decisions passing and defending....but one game doesnt change what the team has done all year...Im proud of them....they ran into a freaking hot shooting team that couldnt miss early on and it buried them. There were 54 other teams in the big dance that wished they could have made it as far as we did.

This is why the rant sucks. You can't have a legit conversation without people accusing you of flaming/trolling.

Okay so apparently Florida fans aren't reading my question. No troll just discussion.

let me ask it again:

-if Billy has "peaked", if he never goes past the elite 8 again, are you willing to keep him or do you want a new coach.

I'm simply asking if he has a lifetime pass. I think Nolan had one, if it weren't for the race stuff; other hog fans would disagree. Does BillyD have one? Could he have 3 losing seasons in a row and survive (not that he ever would)
