I'd rather be embarrassed in the Elite Eight than in the first or second round of the tourney, or even worse, the NIT.

Florida did better than anyone else in this conference. Arkansas, Mizzou and Kentucky are the ones who should be embarrassed.

FWIW, I was pulling for Florida. They had a good season and that's sometimes the way it is with tournament games. Michigan was playing very well and Florida wasn't. And it could have easily been the other way around.

I'm not embarrassed. There is no shame in losing to a better team. I would have prefered a better showing, particularly from Eric Murphy, but something was wrong with his this week- maybe sick, IDK. Sucked that he had 2 horrible games.
Michigan has a lot of NBA talent- something we don't have.
And frick TN, they didn't even make the tournament- that is way more embarrassing.
And btw, why would the SEC be embarrassed if they didn't even care or root for the Gators?
Great season, Billy got everything he could from this group, more than any other coach in the league. I can't wait till next year.

Don't worry Vol fan. One of these days UTenn will restart its athletic department. It will, of course, operate at a massive deficit but at least it will give you some UTenn teams to follow.
