This kid is unreal. By far my favorite Gamecock of all time and probably will go down as the most popular Gamecock ever not just by us, but throughout the SEC. Here is a great article about today and his path to getting drafted.

Lattimore

I like Lattimore and all but pump the brakes. He isn't going to be the most popular or favorite player of all time of anybody outside of Carolina fans.

I would take a shot on him with a 3rd round pick if I were an NFL GM and needed a RB.

I have no doubt that he would be successful with anything he decided to do in life if football didn't work out. He's nothing but a class act and I think I speak for everyone when I say he's earned the respect of millions. Football would be such a better sport if there were more hard-working, pleasant guys like Marcus Lattimore.

Hopefully he can make a full recovery. Was a special player. I'd love to have him on the Falcons, but not with the risk of a first or 2nd round pick.

It just dawned on me how much he looks like Eddie Murphy. Good grief:

I'm hoping we pick him up. It would be a perfect situation for him IMO.

True, he and Jackson are similar type backs. He could learn a lot from him.

Actually, I am pretty sure Marcus was an actor in season 4 of the Wire. It's crazy how much these guys look alike...

Steven Jackson is only 29, but I could see them drafting Marcus Lattimore to groom him as the future starter. Quiz Rodgers is explosive and is a good 3rd down back or option out of the backfield, but he's not what you need for an every down back. The Falcons, or anyone for that matter, could get a late round steal with Lattimore.

Willis McGahee type scenario, IYAM.
