Why Kansas should join the SEC

It's no secret the SEC is going to expand again to 16 teams so why should one of them be Kansas? Well first of all just take a look at our basketball program, we have the longest current streak of consecutive NCAA tournament appearances. We are arguably the second or third most prestigious basketball program in the country. We have 3 National Championships (soon to be 4). We along with Kentucky would make the SEC the top basketball conference in the country.
Anyways our basketball history speaks for itself but our Football team is no joke either. We have a 55,000 seat stadium that feels up every weekend.
Also don't forget that we won the BCS Orange bowl in 2007! Which is more than 8 SEC schools can say.
Finally don't say we are not a geographical fit, because you let Mizzou in (We are a better program in every way to Mizzou) inb4 butthurt mizzoury fans.

Id trade KU for Mizzou.
Both football teams suck but KU is a premiere bball program.

but then Mizzou and Kansas would go back to being rivals, leaving tFlagship out in the cold. Who would be their rival? maybe we could add Tulsa with Kansas, Arky and Tulsa are only 2 hours away from each other and have comparable athletic success.

If you give that KU would only bring basketball to the conference.....I still favor going after UNC/Duke heavy and hard.

Except we are a much much better program at EVERY single sport than Mizzou! Our basketball program alone WILL put the SEC on the map.
