Why does it seem like the trendy thing in food these days is to add cilantro to EVERYTHING???

Has anyone else noticed this??

No.

That would be parsley.

If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. And grow a pair.

Cilantro is funny because people either love it or hate it.

I like it a lot, in good salsa, guac, etc.

I have a relative who claims it reminds her of "dirty dish water". And I know several people who hate it.

I can't really think of what parsley tastes like.

Cilantro on the other hand just over powers everything you put it on. Kind of like adding bacon to anything makes it better, cilantro added to anything makes it worse.

There are several different kinds of parsley. Italian, flat-leaf, curly, Chinese, etc. They're all a little different.

Cilantro is great in certain things.

Cilantro is great in certain dishes. Indian food and cilantro are like peanut butter and jelly. It's also good to put in most types of salsa, on tacos, and in chimichurri.

Indian sounds awesome right now. Chicken curry with raita and naan, samosas to start. Yum.

Cilantro and parsley are the bomb. It kills me when people don't like these or tomatoes. WTH is wrong with people? They'll eat Taco Bell or drink a Pepsi, but won't eat these?
