Does Mike still head up the ATX-LSU alumni association? Good dude right there. Think he use to play for the tigers.

Should be a great time. I was there at the first one a few years ago. Awesome course, good weather, good food, hot cart girls, and legendary SEC coaches.

oh plueze, Austin is the best city in Texas. Anything goes. You can be a right wing nut, or a crazy liberal, and you will fit in just fine.
Keep Austin weird.
I absolutely love it here.

Austin is a great town. Conservative Aggies (which is to say, most Aggies) really are butthurt about it . I love my school and still think I would have hated UT, but Austin rules.

If I were worth a damn in golf I'd go to this. Sounds like a good time.

Austin is great. It is way over rated, but still a cool town.

nothing to do with that. a&m students/alumni hate austin because its a liberal town. i dont give a shite and i think austin is cool but thats why people affiliated with a&m dont like austin

What is "overrated" about Austin? Serious question.

Austin is great now...but the rate it is going it won't be for long. Most people that say Austin is great live in Williamson County.

Williamson County is not Austin, and I don't know anyone that lives there. That's for the elders. The growth is changing Austin for sure, but it's going to be 10-20 years before it resembles any of the other cities in Texas.

Wish I could make it, sounds like a great time! Austin is a great town, even for Aggies. Just a little bit of everything here.

BTW, the reason I can't make it is I run a Pork BBQ business on weekends called "The Pig Joint". It's traditional Southern pulled pork as opposed to brisket that is especially loved by SEC folks craving slow smoked pork. We are set up on Saturdays this time of year at Bella Mar fields in Steiner Ranch but we also do catering. The website is www.pigjoint.com
