I'll play. i would like to see Auburn make the NIT. That isn't a huge goal but we should make post season and if we don't, he should probably part ways with Auburn at that time.

NIT or better
Personally i'd require him to get the NCAA's. This was supposed to be the year for NIT or bubble team. The progress is going slower than it should and so i would say he needs to make leaps and bounds to catch up to where the team should be.
But that's just me personally. Looking at it from a realistic stand point, if he makes the NIT he stays...despite my protest.

Not to get anyone's hopes up, but Pat Forde just said that Tubby Smith is looking at the Auburn job

AD?
Here's a LINK to Forde's article and the relevant quote.
quote:
That might be part of the reason why Smith put out feelers for several other jobs during his six years at Minnesota. He never left of his own accord, but that's not because he never looked.
Most recently, sources said Smith had his eye on Auburn should the school choose to let go of Tony Barbee after three struggling seasons. That would have been akin to the exit Smith orchestrated at Kentucky – beating the posse out of town to Minnesota and then hearing outsiders pile on the school for running off a good coach.
So Tubby Smith was willing to entertain the idea of jumping, but he got pushed first. And now that makes Minnesota the bad guy in the Cult of the Coach worldview.

We're not lucky enough for this to happen.

This.
See, that would require a competent athletics department.
